Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and hands-on UK Sales & Business Development Manager to drive new business, enhance dealer relationships, and strengthen our presence across the UK. You will be responsible for managing the full sales process, from lead generation and demonstrations to final sales and after-sales support.
This is not a typical "suit and tie" position; we need someone who can sell, demo, deliver, and install our machinery confidently, ensuring both new and existing customers receive the best possible experience.
Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities.

Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing dealers and customers to ensure continued business growth.

Dealer Network Expansion: Strengthen and grow our dealer network across the UK, providing training and support where necessary.

Product Demonstrations & Sales: Arrange and conduct hands-on product demonstrations, effectively communicating the features and benefits of our machines.

End-to-End Sales Process: Manage all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, quoting, negotiations, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.

Market Awareness: Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.

Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and demonstrations to build brand awareness and generate sales leads.

Travel & Customer Visits: Regular travel around the UK to meet customers, conduct demonstrations, and support dealers.
Requirements:

Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, ideally within the warehouse, forklift or access industry.

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of machines, with the ability to confidently discuss and demonstrate technical aspects.

Hands-On Ability: Willingness to operate, load, and install machinery as part of the sales process.

Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present effectively, and build lasting relationships.

Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage a large geographic territory, and drive results with minimal supervision.

CRM & Reporting: Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools to track leads and sales progress.

Full UK Driving License: Essential for frequent travel within the role.
Desirable:
- Experience working with warehouse, forklift or access industry.
- Previous experience in a business development role or sales role with a strong customer focus.
